On June 15, 1925, in the Department of History and Theory of Music of the State Institute of Art History, Grigory Iosifovich Gidoni read a report on the topic “Light orchestra, or the use of light in application to music.” As a result of the discussion, it was decided to decipher the light line of Scriabin’s “Prometheus” according to the system of G. I. Gidoni. The interpretation was prepared by Georgy Mikhailovich Rimsky-Korsakov in 1925. The resulting score was notated by E. A. Sholpo. Based on the results of the work in the Vremennik of the Department of Theory and History of Music of the State Institute of History, an article by G. M. Rimsky Korsakov was published.
