G. I. Gidoni’s light-coloured score for a fragment of the finale of L. van Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony was created in 1924–1925. Later, in 1927, G. I. Gidoni, using his own funds, issued a postcard for the 100th anniversary of Beethoven’s death and placed this score on it. The card was preserved in the archives of the artist’s great-nephew, Henry Kopelman-Gidoni. There are three rows of numbers in Gidoni’s light-coloured arrangement. The top row (Roman numerals) is an indication of the light intensity. Bottom (Arabic numerals) – colour (according to the scheme of the artist’s light-colour console). The middle row shows the number of beats during which the specified colour and light intensity are displayed.
