In 1926, an exhibition was organized by the Department of Organic Culture of the State Institute of Artistic Culture. On the left side of the photograph of the exhibition taken by M. Matyushin, there are “spectral disks with conclusions on the interaction of colour and form in the system of “extended viewing”, on the corner stand – “models of sounding monochords with colour screens for studying the connections between sound and colour.” The reconstruction of the monochords was completed in 1997 by the artist Alexei Kostroma with scientific advice from musicologist, restorer and researcher at the Museum of Theatre and Musical Art Vladimir Koshelev.”
