Composer Ivan Vyshnegradsky (1983–1979) dreamed of performing his main mystery composition (“Day of Genesis”) in a certain “perfect building”—the “Temple of Super-Art.” The work was created and revised from 1916 to 1939. Back in 1916, Vyshnegradsky wrote: “Temples of Super-Art will appear in various corners of the globe, in which the sacred act of performance will be performed. I imagine such a temple in the middle of a shady park, far from the vulgar noise of city life; I imagine completely new architectural forms, strange at first glance, with a predominance of the ball, this most perfect form, and the vertical line, this symbol of upward striving” (Ivan Vyshnegradsky: Pyramid of Life: Diary, articles, letters, memories, 2001, pp. 56–57). For the dome of the Temple in the 1940s, the author created a series of light mosaics.
