In 1971, Jean Schiffrine reconstructed Wladimir Baranoff-Rossiné’s “Optophone” at the request of the artist’s son, Evgeny Baranoff-Rossiné. The instrument is now on display at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. The reconstruction followed the artist’s original drawings.
