How to Use the Archive
The Archive documents the history of twentieth-century media art. Its core materials include texts, photographs, videos and publications that reveal key developments in media art and light music.
Materials are organised by field and by the people and institutions connected with them, including artists, curators and researchers. Each section can be used to explore exhibitions, conferences, lectures, concerts and publications.
Archive entries are based on historical sources and do not add present-day interpretations. Keywords make it easier to search, organise and compare events and works.
We collect evidence of media-art developments from the 1910s to the present and make this heritage accessible to researchers, students and anyone interested in it.
The project team adds new records regularly, and we welcome information that can help expand or clarify the Archive.
